Vitamins and supplements come in various shapes and sizes. They are taken orally to improve the health and look of skin, hair, or nails. Their purpose is to give your body the necessary tools to make you look as fresh as possible. They should be consumed orally, so they can be absorbed by the bloodstream and carried to the deepest layer of the skin.
What are gummy bear supplements?
Gummy supplements are chewable vitamins and diet supplements that come in the shape of a gummy bear made with a gelatinous formula, and usually in fun shapes and colors. They are made in a way to make it easier for people to integrate them on their routine and have an easier time supplementing your body with all the vitamins it needs.
They are made in a way to look similar to candy, with tasty flavours and in small size. Because of this, they are a super popular way to take your vitamins, appealing to both adults and children, as they are much tastier to take than a traditional pill.
Gummy bear supplements will come usually in a small container, and can be taken anywhere you go. They are easily stored in your work bag or left in the counter of your kitchen, and taken as a treat after a meal. The goal is to your body to be healthy and function better without much effort or compromise.
Why are they so popular?
Taking a pill every day or multiple times a day or integrating an ingredient in our diet can be challenging, especially for people with busy routines who have difficulty remembering to take medications or adding steps to their daily life.
That’s why gummy-shaped vitamins can be the best form to remember to take our daily supplement. Eating a tasty and soft candy is a much more pleasant experience than taking a whole pill daily, and the experience is much more appealing to both adults and children.
They can come in sweet candied flavours, like strawberry or grapes, for the children, or in sour ones, like lemon or even tasteless, for the adults that are not very fond of sweet treats.
How can you produce them?
Making gummy vitamins can be just as easy as producing normal pill-shaped vitamins. The production proccess starts with the raw material that contains the vitamin or supplement that you’re trying to implement – such as vitamin D, magnesium, B12, zinc or multivitamins – that can come in different formulas – such as liquid, in an oil, or powdery – which are blended with water to then be mixed with a gelatin base, to make the gummies chewable. Sugar, flavoring, conservants and colorants are then added to the mixture.
Once everything is blended together, the mixture is poured into molds of any shape, and left to solidify for the neccessary time. Once set, they are taken off the moulds, and can be coated in sugar or in sour-substances for the final touch. Then they are ready to be put in the containers and sold to the consumers.
The overall production time depends on the manufacturer and on the formula of the product but, on average, takes around 3 weeks to complete production.
